We started caring the elderly from 1999 in short stay homes. A permanent home in Perungavur near Chennai started in 2006.
This 30 bed phase was constructed and completed in the year 2006.
Description of the building facility – At Present there are four Dormitories with a permanent kitchen for 55 Elderly residents and adequate facilities of Toilets and Bathrooms. The Dormitories are packed with 30 cots and Cupboards and we are in need of 25 cots and 25 cupboards. To recreate the elderly people we have a television, a meeting hall, a clinic, a lounge and a garden with bird cage in the Home at Perungavur, Chennai, South India.
Needs of Vuyiroli Home
- Food with diet, clothes, toiletries, beddings, medicine and maintenance for 55 elders.
- Hospitalization charges in special cases and burial expenses in case of death.
- Need of a mini-truck is highly necessary at present. Salaries for care givers, a Doctor, nurses and cook.
